CARE GUIDE

Made with the greatest care, from materials selected for their quality, Sandro clothes and accessories are designed to last.
However, they require special attention to keep them looking their best.
Read our advice on their upkeep, so you can carry on wearing them season after season.

Before washing your garment, we advise you to read the instructions on the label.
If marked "do not wash", we recommend entrusting it to a professional for dry cleaning.

SILK

As precious natural materials, silk twill and crepe de chine require special care. They must be dry cleaned, or cleaned by hand, with the utmost care.

Dry cleaning recommended:

to maintain your garment over time, we advise you entrust it to the experts, who know how to keep it looking its best.

Washing:

by hand, no more than 30°C. Do not allow the garment to soak.

Squeeze out excess water:

gently and by hand, you can also repeat this step with a towel to help absorb excess water.

Drying:

air dry on a hanger. Once dry, the garment will appear naturally stiffer and drier.

Ironing and steaming:

The fibre will be replenished with moisture from ironing, and especially from steaming. The fabric will thus recover its bulk, its softness and suppleness.
We advise you to iron and spray the garment on the reverse side to avoid leaving marks.

VISCOSE

Viscose is a man-made fibre that is especially sensitive to water. To prevent your garment from shrinking in the wash, it is essential to follow these recommendations:

Cleaning:

Wash by hand using cold water, do not soak. Once damp, the fibre naturally shrinks and hardens.

Squeeze out excess water:

Gently and by hand, you can also repeat this step with a towel to help absorb excess water.

Drying:

Air dry on a hanger. Once dry, the garment maintains its shrunken and stiffened appearance.

Ironing and steaming:

Essential to give the back fibre its bulk, its softness and suppleness.
We advise you to iron and spray the garment on the reverse side to avoid leaving marks.

LINEN

Linen is a natural fibre that absorbs colour more faintly and less durably.
This fibre is also very crumpled and susceptible to shrinking in the wash.

Dry cleaning recommended:

to preserve the suppleness of the fibre and its lustre, we recommend professional dry cleaning.

Cleaning:

wash by hand using cold water, do not soak.

Squeeze out excess water:

gently, without twisting the garment, spin in machine or do this by hand.

Drying:

dry flat. Once dry, the piece will look very wrinkled.

Ironing and steaming:

essential, while respecting the temperatures for linen.

TWEED AND JACQUARD

These multi-compositional and heavily textured pieces require special care.

Dry clean only:

to maintain your garment over time, we recommend entrusting it to the experts, who know how to keep it looking its best.

Ironing and steaming:

ask a professional just to steam the item and/or use a damp cloth if ironing is required in certain areas (such as the collar or button placket). Steaming is essential to ensure swelling, while ironing can leave shiny marks.

LEATHER

Leather is a natural material that develops a patina over time and must be looked after with the greatest precautions.
To preserve your leather clothes and bags, it is advisable to keep them away from dust
and to clean them regularly with a soft cloth using circular movements.

Professional cleaning is recommended:

if you find stains or scratches, take them to a leather specialist.

POLYESTER

Polyester is a synthetic fibre that holds colour well.

Washing:

in the machine and/or by hand, 30°C max., do not allow the garment to soak.

Squeeze out excess water:

gently and by hand, you can also repeat this step with a towel to help absorb excess water.

Drying:

air dry on a hanger.

Ironing and steaming:

steaming the item on a hanger will make more difference than ironing it.

COTTON

Supple, soft and light, cotton is a natural fibre, whose colour vibrancy may require specific care.

Dry cleaning recommended:

We recommend dry cleaning some of our brightest and most colourful pieces to keep them looking their best.

Washing:

Machine wash at 30°, preferably inside out and with similar colours. Use a bleach-free or brightener-free washing powder for coloured clothes.

Drying:

Dry in the open air, away from direct light.

Ironing and steaming:

Recommended to restore softness and suppleness.
We advise you to iron and spray the garment on the reverse side to avoid leaving marks.

WOOL

Wool is a natural fibre that reacts very quickly to washing and therefore requires special care.

Dry cleaning recommended:

to maintain your garment over time, we advise you to entrust it to the experts, who know how to keep it looking its best.
Woven structured pieces like coats, jackets and trousers cannot be washed due to the risk of significant shrinkage and felting.

Ironing:

ask a professional just to steam the item and/or use a damp cloth if ironing is required in certain areas (such as the collar or button placket).

Washing:

some knitwear can be hand washed in cold water with a suitable laundry detergent, eschewing fabric softener. Wash inside out, do not soak.
Some styles can be machine washed in a laundry bag on a delicate cycle (maximum spin speed 400 rpm).

Drying:

Squeeze gently without wringing and dry flat on a towel, away from direct light.

PRECIOUS DETAILS

Rhinestones, sequins, embroidery, beads, fringing and other embellishment require special care.

DRY CLEANING:

Refer to the product label. Dry-cleaning is not recommended for pieces with glued (unsewn) rhinestones.

WASHING:

As indicated on the label:
- Hand wash: with a little washing powder in cold or lukewarm water as recommended; do not let soak.
- Delicate cycle machine wash: inside out at a maximum temperature of 30°C. If machine washing, wash in a laundry net with similar colours.

Do not spin-dry pieces with rhinestone.
